Love books… love authors…
RedDoor is a genuinely innovative publishing house, home to some of the UK’s most exciting authors.
Our list is strong and focused, comprising brilliant fiction, commercial non-fiction and thought-provoking business books. We’re extremely selective in what we take on, and – once a book is with us – we work very, very hard for its success.
Our books are sold into the UK high street, online, libraries and non-traditional outlets by trade specialists Compass-IPS while we work with a number of carefully selected partners for global sales. Foreign and translation rights are managed in-house.
Behind the brand, we’re an award-winning team of professionals – ex-Orion, Anova, Hodder, HarperCollins – with backing from a small board of industry experts. We love books, we love authors, and we love being odd-ones-out in an industry that has occasionally struggled to embrace change.
About the Author
Alex Marsh is a writer and author who has produced short columns for The Guardian, jokes for BBC Radio 4 and was a teenage columnist for ZX Spectrum Adventurer magazine. As a commercial copywriter, he has worked on everything from recruitment material for MI5 to advertising blurb for some of Britain’s best-selling board games.
Alex’s alter-ego blog Private Secret Diary achieved Internet fame with its comic snapshots of English rural life and formed the backdrop to his first book, Sex and Bowls and Rock and Roll; his love of the music of Georges Brassens and Jake Thackray was the inspiration for The Resurrection of Frederic Debreu. He lives close to the North Norfolk coast.
